• Sweet buckwheat: Upper and lower shelling discs are the same; Bitter buckwheat: Upper and lower shelling discs are different.
• 50-70%, depending on the buckwheat variety.
• The breakage rate is greatly affected by the operating technique (referring to the spacing between the upper and lower grinding discs; a smaller spacing results in more breakage, while a larger spacing results in a lower shelling rate, so manual operation is necessary to control the disc spacing): Sweet buckwheat shelling rate 20%/30%, breakage rate 5-6%; shelling rate around 50%, breakage rate 30%.
