The machine works in two main steps, just like a person would by hand:

Step 1: Cutting
First, the filling is pushed through a special feeding hopper. A cutting device then slices the filling into small, even pieces.

Step 2: Rolling
These pieces drop into the rolling section. Here, they are gently rolled in a circular motion, just like hand-rolling, to form perfectly smooth and round balls. A powder sprinkler can be used to lightly coat the balls to prevent sticking.
