How to operate the screw oil press machine correctly?

Before starting the machine, check the oilseed conveying system and the screw oil press machine to ensure they are functioning properly. If no problems are found, start the machine and observe its operation. It is strictly forbidden to start the machine with material in the press.

Operating Procedures for Screw Oil Press Machines:

Raise the barrel temperature. The barrel must maintain a sufficient initial temperature to create favorable pressing conditions and ensure proper oil production. At the same time, adjust the physical parameters of the oil to a certain moisture content and temperature to meet the requirements of the oil pressing process.

To increase the barrel temperature, manually load hot oil cakes or heated sheets into the barrel and repeatedly press for 10-20 minutes. Using sand as a substitute for oil is strictly prohibited.

The main shaft temperature is required to be between 115-130°C when the material enters the barrel. During normal operation, the barrel temperature should gradually increase from the oil cake outlet to the feed side. Otherwise, the barrel may become clogged. The machine requires continuous operation.

Screw Oil Press Machines

The feed should be evenly distributed and adjusted according to the oil cake outlet conditions. Otherwise, uneven pressure may occur, and sometimes even "bridging" may occur.

Intermittent feeding can cause blockages in the barrel, and sudden pressure increases can damage the screw oil press machine and even cause the screws to break. Therefore, operators must be familiar with feeding conditions; if any abnormalities are detected, the machine should be stopped and inspected immediately.

Maintain a stable load. The barrel must maintain sufficient pressure to ensure normal production, and the amount of pressure depends on a variety of factors. To monitor pressure, look at the current indicator; the operating current is 12-14A.

If the current indicator suddenly increases, this indicates abnormal barrel pressure. Reduce the pressure or stop feeding, and adjust the cake gap. If there is still no improvement, stop the machine and inspect. A normal cake thickness is 1.5-3mm.

Assessing the operating status. Normal oil discharge is concentrated in the first few squeeze rings and the squeeze rod rings, and the oil is clear. If the oil discharge moves toward the feed end, it indicates that the material moisture content is too high, making it difficult to generate normal pressure. Neither forward nor backward movement is conducive to oil yield.

A normal slag discharge is 3-5%. If the press produces flaky residue, the material's moisture content is too high. If the residue is powdery, the moisture content is too low, which will affect the barrel pressure, oil yield, and residual oil content.

Normal oil cakes are tile-shaped, elastic, and firm, with a smooth, oil-free surface and streaks on the back. If the oil cakes are large and unevenly soft and hard, the spindle temperature is too low, which can easily cause barrel blockage.

During normal operation, the screw oil press machine should regularly check the current, equipment sound, material temperature, oil output, and cake quality. Any abnormalities should be promptly adjusted or shut down.

Operators must be familiar with the screw oil press machine's performance, structure, and disassembly, assembly, and debugging techniques to improve oil output efficiency and product quality continuously.

Let the oil cakes cool to approximately 40°C before packaging to prevent spontaneous combustion.

After work, turn off the power and clean the work environment and equipment.

If the power is off, loosen the worm shaft and clean the barrel.
